Clickables for Vocab Input

I LOVE making these vocabulary “clickables” for my units. I teach Level 1 Spanish so my students still need the structure of having the traditional vocabulary lists. To get a new set of words the students build their own lists by downloading this file and “click” through the images to get the words in both English and Spanish. (Our district is 1:1 MacBooks; however, this would be a great computer lab day if this isn’t an option.) As with any activity, I do a lot of pre-teaching expectations so the lesson runs smoothly. After mastery of the words we expand and use the words in deciphering stories, writing about cities, and through songs for listening practice.

Here is a part of my vocab handout that kids fill out. They practice writing what is in red font.

Having engaging lessons that are technology enhanced are some of the best ways to decrease negative behaviors and keep kids in the target language! Check out my TpT shop if you’d like to click and see more.
